Studi Kepadatan dan Keragaman Moluska di Pesisir Pulau Nusalaut, Maluku
Nusalaut Island is one of the small islands in Maluku waters. This study was conducted on May 2009. The aims of this study was to investigate the molluscs density and diversity, using the line transect methods. In all, 25 species of molluscs were found comprising of 14 families of gastropod (22 species) and 3 families of bivalves (3 species). Shannon diversity index (H’) ranged between 1,24 - 2,35; Pielou’s evennness index (J’) was 0,9 - 1; and Simpson dominance index (D) was 0,01 - 0,1. Similarity ranged from 0 – 45,81 with the highest value was found at station 1 and 5. Results showed that the molluscs assemblage was low in diversity and uniformity with no domination by one or more spesies in the community. Nassarius pullus (Nassariidae) was one of the species with highest abundance. Oseanologi dan Limnologi di Indonesia, Vol. 38, No. 3. Hal. 293-305 ISSN 0125-9830
