Sand dollars belong to phylum echinodermata and class of echinoidea. They called Sand dollar because of its body shape resemble a dollar coin. Sand dollars have hard skin made of calcium carbonate plates. They live on sandy sea floor by burrying themselves in sand. Sand dollars have symmetrical along five axes with tube feet and spines. The dead “shell” of sand dollars often found washed up on sandy beaches in white color with an obvious five-pointed shape on the back. A live sand dollars has a different look with densely packed, tiny and hide the star shape on the back is hidden. Oseana, Vol. 34, No. 4. Hal. 45-51
